Für Slavoj Žižek ist alles Ideologie: Ob Kapitalismus oder Toleranz, Islam oder einfach nur der Alltag. Ein Handy kaufen, Kleidung aussuchen, Zahnpasta – alles ist ideologisch geprägt. Deshalb ist für ihn marxistische Gesellschaftskritik keine Sache der Vergangenheit, sondern aktueller denn je.

Früher waren die Menschen von der Religion geblendet, heute sind sie der Technokratie und dem Kapitalismus unterworfen, findet Žižek. Dennoch hält der slowenische Philosoph an der Idee der Wahrheit fest und setzt sich für Menschenrechte und Eurozentrismus ein. Wie das alles zusammenpasst, erklärt er im Gespräch mit Barbara Bleisch.
